  1. Collection and storage of personal data as well as nature and purpose of its use

a) When visiting the website

When you visit our website www.jaeger-group.net, the browser you use automatically sends information to the server of our website. This data is automatically stored by the website provider in a so-called log file. The following data is recorded without your involvement and stored until it is automatically deleted:

  • IP address of the requesting computer,
  • Date and time of access,
  • Name and URL of the retrieved file,
  • Website from which access is made (referrer URL),
  • the browser used and, if applicable, the operating system of your computer as well as the name of your access provider.

We process the above data for the following purposes:

Data processing is based on Art. 6 paragraph 1 sentence 1 lit. f of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legitimate interest arises from the purposes listed above. In no way do we use the collected data to draw conclusions about your identity.

b) When subscribing to our newsletter

If you have registered by express consent in accordance with Art. 6 par. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, we will use the e-mail address you provided to send you our newsletter on a regular basis. Besides the e-mail address, no further information is required.

c) When using the contact form

For inquiries of any kind, you have the possibility to contact us via the contact form provided on our homepage. In order to process your request, you must provide us with a valid e-mail address so that we can trace the request back to you. If you choose to, you can voluntarily provide further information.

Data processing for the purpose of establishing contact takes place in accordance with Art. 6 par. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR based on your voluntary consent.

The data processed for the purpose of contacting us will be deleted after your request has been processed.

3. Disclosure of data

Your personal data will be transmitted solely for the purposes listed below. No further transmission takes place.

A transfer of your personal data will only take place if:

  • you have given your express consent pursuant to Art. 6 par. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR
  • the disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 f GDPR is necessary to assert, exercise or defend legal claims and there is no reason to assume that you have a predominantly legitimate interest in not disclosing your data
  • in the event that a legal obligation exists for the transfer pursuant to Art. 6 par. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR, and

4. Cookies

Pursuant to Art. 6 par. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, we use the following tracking measures. Thereby, we want to ensure that our website meets your needs and is continually optimized. These interests are to be regarded as legitimate within the meaning of the aforementioned provision.

  • Pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR, to demand without delay the correction of incorrect or complete personal data stored by us;
  • Pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR, to demand the deletion of your personal data stored by us unless the processing is necessary to exercise the right to freedom of expression and information, to fulfil an obligation under the rule of law, for reasons of public interest or to assert, exercise or defend legal claims;
  • Pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal insofar as you challenge the correctness of the data, processing is unlawful, but you object to the deletion thereof and we no longer need the data, but you need it to assert, exercise or defend legal claims or you have objected to the processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR;
  • Pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR, to receive the personal data that you have provided us in a structured, current and machine-readable format or to request its transfer to another person responsible;
  • Pursuant to Art. 7 par. 3 GDPR, to revoke your consent to us at any time. As a consequence, we are no longer allowed to continue the data processing based on this consent for the future and
  • Pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR, to complain to a supervisory. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority at your usual place of residence or workplace or at our company headquarters.

8. Right of objection

In the case of processing your personal data based on legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 par. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in accordance to Art. 21 GDPR. You can object the processing if there are reasons for this which arise from your particular situation or if the objection is directed against direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right of objection, which we will implement without specifying a particular situation.

9. Data security

We use the most common SSL (Secure Socket Layer) method in connection with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. 256-bit encryption is used regularly. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit v3 technology instead. If a single page of our website is transmitted in encrypted form it can be seen from the closed display of the key or lock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser.

We apply suitable technical and organisational safety measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulations, partial or complete loss, destruction or against access by unauthorised third parties. Our safety measures are regularly improved in line with technological developments.
